Tottenham finances could be dealt a serious blow

Tottenham finances could be dealt a serious blow if there are no substantial reductions in the cost estimates for the upcoming new stadium.

It was originally thought that the new 61,000 seater stadium will cost around £ 400 million. Just like arch rivals and neighbours Arsenal, Spurs were planning to get much of the funding done through the sale of sponsorships and loans. The sale of the property where the White Hart Lane – the club’s existing ground – is located could also fetch a sizeable amount required to build this new stadium.

The Gunners need an overwhelming favourite from the German club in order to have any hope of qualification to the last 16. Arsenal lost the first two matches of the group stages and it has made it extremely difficult for the club to even considering a second spot going into the final two games. Turkish club Olympiakos can manage to surprisingly move ahead of Arsenal and reached the last 16 if they claim an unlikely victory against Bayern.

Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he is already excited

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he is already excited by the prospect of playing at the new stadium being developed by Spurs for a cost of more than £ 500 million.

Not very long ago, the club revealed that they would be building a new 50,000 seater stadium in the heart of North London.

However, there appears to have been slight modifications to the plan and the stadium capacity has now been taken to just over 60,000. This would make Tottenham’s new ground as the biggest in London and going even beyond the Emirates stadium, which can hold 60,000.

WINNING FEELING

Ac.Milan triumph against Catania was the 4th consecutive victory for the Italian club under the guidance of Clarence Seedorf who has slowly been trying to pick up the team and finish the season on a respectable spot in the Serie A.

Seedorf replaced Allegri and took charge of the club earlier at the beginning of the year in January and it seems that despite the mediocre season that Ac.Milan has been going through, the players still want to continue playing with the club as it was revealed when the agent of Stephan El Shaarawy said that his client wants to continue wearing the Ac.Milan even though there are offers of other clubs on the table.
